2507 is a super duplex stainless steel, characterized by its high alloy composition of 25% chromium, 4% molybdenum and 7% nickel. This composition design endows it with outstanding comprehensive performance:
Excellent corrosion resistance: The high chromium and molybdenum content endows it with outstanding resistance to acid corrosion and pitting corrosion, especially in environments containing chloride ions (such as seawater), where its performance is particularly remarkable.
Excellent mechanical properties: It combines high compressive strength, high impact strength and low thermal expansion coefficient, and has good structural stability.
Anti-stress corrosion cracking: Its unique bimetallic microstructure can effectively resist stress corrosion cracking, which is a common engineering problem.

2507 Duplex Stainless Steel Plate

High chromium (Cr): Approximately 25% - Provides excellent antioxidant and corrosion resistance properties.

High molybdenum (Mo): Approximately 4% - Significantly enhances resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion.

Nickel (Ni): Approximately 7% - Stable austenitic phase, contributing toughness and weldability.

Nitrogen (N): Approximately 0.3% - A crucial element that significantly enhances strength and stabilizes the microstructure, as well as improving corrosion resistance at points.


2. Core Performance Advantages


Outstanding corrosion resistance

  • Resistant to pitting & crevice corrosion: With an extremely high pitting resistance equivalent value (PREN ≥ 40), it performs exceptionally well in chloride-containing environments (such as seawater, salt water).

  • Stress Corrosion Cracking Resistance (SCC): The duplex structure inherently offers resistance to stress corrosion cracking and is suitable for high-temperature and high-chloride environments.

  • Uniform corrosion: Exhibits excellent corrosion resistance to various organic acids and inorganic acids (such as sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid).

Extremely high mechanical strength

  • Tensile strength: ≥ 800 MPa

  • Yield strength: ≥ 550 MPa (approximately twice that of 316 stainless steel)

  • High impact strength and high fatigue strength.

  • Advantages: Using 2507 can reduce the wall thickness of the equipment, thereby reducing weight and lowering costs.
